In case of flea infestation, it is crucial to thoroughly clean and disinfect your dog’s entire environment. Hot spots for infection are the home, car, kennels, toys, baskets, and any place your dog usually frequents. All washable items such as blankets, pillows, covers and mattresses should be boiled. After vacuuming your dog’s environment, remember to remove and sanitarily dispose the vacuum bag immediately. Furthermore, as most fleas are not permanently found on the dog but rather in its environment, it is recommended that you use an insecticide that kills fleas on suspicious areas of the environment.
