When collecting a urine sample from your dog, make sure to collect the urine inside a clean and sealable container. It can be easier to collect the sample if you use a short leash while you walk your dog, this can allow you to react quickly. Urine tests do not require a large amount of urine to work, so you don’t have to collect all the urine that is passed. If you have a female dog, it can be easier to use a bowl, or deep plate alternatively. After collecting a sample in it, pour the content into a sealable container. Collecting urine from male dogs can be more challenging, as they lift their leg frequently to mark their territory. Use a deeper container, and don’t give up if you can’t collect the sample the first time around.
